One of the main attractions of the park is the spawning and rearing channels for coho, pink and chum salmon. Beginning in September in even numbered years (2016, 2018, 2020, etc.), and October in odd numbered years (2015, 2017, 2019 etc.), these salmon return to spawn in the park’s spawning channels, which provides excellent viewing opportunities.
