Reserve your seats for our special “Luminous Waters” performance inspired by our award-winning children’s book Semá:th X̱ó:tsa: Sts’ólemeqwelh Sx̱ó:tsa (Great-Gramma’s Lake).
Working with professional puppeteer Tamara Unroe at Mamele’awt Indigenous Education Center, students from Abbotsford School District immersed themselves in the story of Semá:th X̱ó:tsa (Sumas Lake) to develop this spectacular performance. The students bring to life three larger-than-life illuminated puppets based on more-than human beings that would have once lived in and around the lake.
Presented in partnership between The Reach Gallery Museum, Indigenous Education, and the City of Abbotsford’s Culture City Program Series.
