As spring rolls in, local producers, farmers, and artisans throughout the Fraser Valley have opened their doors for you and your family to experience the best of locally sourced, fresh produce and a little bit of that bucolic and charming farm life.

1. Milner Valley Cheese
Take the farm tour to visit with goats and see how their milk is made into delicious craft cheeses on this fifth-generation heritage family farm and goat dairy in the picturesque Milner Valley. You can also take home cheese from their farmgate shop, as well as handmade preserves, soap, and goat milk gelato.
2. Cedar Rim Nursery
Visit the largest garden centre in the Lower Mainland to browse through thousands of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses and annual plants. Say hi to Russ and Trudy, who have been running the nursery since its humble beginnings in 1978!
3. JD Farms Specialty Turkey
Visit their Farm Store and Deli for specialty products made from turkey raised right on the farm, including handmade sausages and ready-made meals. Enjoy lunch and that Valley sunshine at the farm’s Bistro with their open-air patio.

See what it takes to make a life on the farm and discover the innovative techniques that make it a little easier, improve the quality of food, and lessen the environmental impact. Kids will love the barn tours, meeting the cows, and seeing the robots in action as they milk them.
6. Lakeland Flowers
Stroll through 35 acres of tulips, peonies, lupins, meadow flowers, and lavender–a flower lover’s Garden of Eden–at the home of one of British Columbia’s largest tulip festivals. Snap some pics against the most colourful backdrops in the Valley, with a smattering of mountain vistas to boot.

You’ll also find baked-in-house bread and flower bouquets from the garden.
10. Greendale Acres Sweet Spring Flower Festival
A fantastic attraction in its own right, Greendale Acres kicks off spring looking its absolute best with this annual flower festival dedicated to gorgeous tulips blooming. Inspired by the famous Dutch flower festivals, Greendale goes the extra mile by arranging bulbs into beautifully intricate designs.
